The very first “mobility dApp” — we want your feedback!

Did you ever use a decentralized app to book your mobility service? Now you can join the bloXmove beta test phase and contribute to the improvement of our bloXmove solutions — for users and drivers. We prepared cool programs and rewards which will start on the 1st of March.

We are excited to announce the beta testing of the decentralized apps that power the Nigerian project. At bloXlab, the bloXmove tech laboratory, we have been building over the months, through every market condition, and now it is time to deliver. We have done the internal testing with our QA team, but as the saying goes, “no-one is a judge in his own cause,” that’s why we are opening this to the public before the pilot.

But wait? What is a decentralized mobility app? What’s different from my Uber or Bolt app? In the case of ordering a taxi, you as a user have the feeling you directly interact with the taxi driver. Actually you don’t. The platform intermediary is the central and winning party. Why?

We call them aggregators — they start acting as the gatekeeper extracting a toll of 20% or more of the revenue of drivers and service providers. They hold customer and billing relationships and it has become a take-it-or-leave-it situation where all market and negotiating power lies with the aggregator and each individual operator is a replaceable cog in the wheel of a well-oiled engine sucking all value-added out of the delivering markets into the pockets of a few fat cats in Silicon Valley.

Very much to the detriment of the individual drivers who are actually doing the work and delivering the service.

Launching #DecentralizedMobility in Nigeria

This is the first time we will be deploying our revolutionary #NFTicket into real life scenarios outside of bloXlab. The final launch will be an important step in the evolution of the Nigerian transportation industry into a decentralized mobility system that takes power from the aggregators (like Uber and Bolt), and returns the power into the hands of the actual stakeholders (customers, drivers, and service providers) who, originally, held the power before it was snatched by the aggregators.

And you — our BLXM community — will be the first to have a feel of this and give us adequate feedback. We have some juicy rewards for everyone who participates and completes all the necessary activities.

The Goals of the beta program

The beta test program is divided into two major parts

1. Bug bounty program: here participants will help uncover bugs and stress test the app. We are looking forward to ingenious community members who can help find bugs on d(app).
2. Usage Reward program: Here participants who are based in Nigeria could be the most qualified as we will release the available driver schedules and participants can role-play with our test team (details to follow).

How to join the bloXmove.NG beta testing programs:

1. Click here and join our bloXmove discord channel where we run the main beta testing communication
2. Join our test space via crew3 (e.g. for the leadership board)
3. Here in crew3, click on the button “beta testing” and fill in the form to apply for beta testing

Bug Bounty: total rewards of 4,000 USD

The bug bounty program is designed to reward every beta test participant who helps us discover critical bugs like;

• Hack or shut down our platform
• Reduce efficiency of the app. For Instance, manipulate price calculation on the app
• Attack the database (database Vulnerability)
• Skip flow- For Instance, skip the onboarding process with a new wallet.
• Validation of input box- For instance, skip validation of Email, location in Nigeria, Not marking terms and condition box
• UI error- For instance- UI error on a specific device or display isn’t compatible on a specific device
• We would consider other bugs not listed if they fall into our critical bug criteria
• Share beta test post on social media

Bugs would be rewarded if they have not been reported or if different methods were used to discover the bugs.

The bug bounty program have a total pool of USDC 4000 and the more critical the bug, the higher the reward;

Usage Reward program: Total of 2,000 USD pledged

The general use case reward program is designed to reward every beta participant who actively participates and gives us valuable feedback. The following are some of the action that would be rewarded;

• Downloading and onboarding on the d(app)
• Setting up of profile on the d(app)
• Searching for a driver
• Payment for a ride (account will be provided)
• Top up the NFTicket ( account will be provided)
• Withdrawal from the NFTicket ( account will be provided)
• Start ride
• Cancel ride
• Review ride
• Share beta test post on social media

The general use case reward program has a total pool of USDC 2,000 and the more active you are, the higher the reward;
