The bloXmove community has been asking for a while when we would be able to experience “decentralized mobility” — #DeMo — live.

Well: TODAY is the day!

On June 1st, we started with the launch of our bloXmoveNG enterprise pilot to give mobility partners like MetrocabsNG first exclusive access and fine-tune our product offering.

The result is a powerful solution tailored explicitly for mobility companies, providing them with the tools they need to efficiently and effectively manage their businesses. By adopting our enterprise solution, fleet companies can expect to increase profitability.

For you as users and BLXM community members, we are proud to unveil the public version of our shared mobility dApp. This version of the user dApp is available on Google Play Store, allowing anyone with an Android smartphone to take advantage of its features.

So, what’s so special about bloXmoveNG?

Well, what surely differentiates our solution from any other mobility service, such as Bolt or Uber, is that our service is delivered as a pure, decentralized web3 protocol.

Now that is tech gibberish, you may say. Well no, because decentralized solutions bring with them a much more equitable, fair and sustainable approach to the sharing of revenue, customer relationship and control.

Web3 is more equitable and sustainable than traditional aggregation

web3 replaces the role of the hyperaggregator with open, modular (“composable”) smart contracts. This directly relieves the service providers from the stranglehold over customer relationships and billing that the hyperaggregators have established.

So, where Uber and Bolt grab between 15–30% of revenue as commission, it’s between 1 and max 5% for our protocol. Meaning, the same service can be offered more cheaply to the passenger and still yield more profit to the driver

Achieving a reduced fare is a top priority for us, and we can primarily do this by charging a reduced commission.

At bloXmoveNG, we believe in a fair and balanced approach that considers all stakeholders’ interests. While we strive to reduce our commission to benefit drivers and passengers, we recognise that external factors, such as fuel prices, can impact the overall cost of transportation. Our goal is to create a sustainable and equitable system that considers the challenges faced by drivers, passengers, and the market as a whole.

We are building a community — not a hyperaggregating control monster

Fair arbitration is a paramount principle for us, recognising that one of the primary concerns of ride-hailing drivers is the lack of a fair hearing when customer issues arise. Our background in the web3/crypto community has instilled in us the value of the community and its immense potential. We understand the transformative power of a satisfied community and are determined to ensure that no participant is taken for granted.

Drivers and users on our platform will actively participate in a decentralized operation. We have built our solution on the blockchain, enabling all transactions on the dApp to undergo a decentralized process. Additionally, relationship management will incorporate elements of decentralization, where stakeholders such as members of AUATWON
(Amalgamated Union of App-based Transport Workers of Nigeria) and others will be elected to manage these relationships. This unique relationship management system resembles a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) and represents a pioneering approach in Nigeria.

We empower the man on the street — the drivers

Against the backdrop of the recent fuel hike in Nigeria, many drivers are unable to sustain their businesses due to the inflated commission imposed by established ride-hailing platforms. However, bloXmove NG is taking action to empower drivers who have been unfairly treated. Furthermore, our users will reap the benefits of our low commission structure, resulting in more affordable fares.
